A Wint-a' Cold Washington

Seems as if we haven't posted in awhile, mainly due to the fact that my (Shilo's) computer crashed a few weeks ago. So thankful there was still a warranty! Some highlights from the past month: A visit with my old boss, Kurt, while he was on business trip, Popie & Grandma come to visit (Glen's parents), Seattle Aquarium, another successful doctor visit for WEE #2 (praise), and seeing Handel's Messiah at the Seattle Symphony downtown. Will be heading out to Arizona from the 24th-1st to visit my folks so wishing everyone a
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Pumpkin Anyone?

We took Micah out for his first "pumpkin patch" excursion last week. It was quite enjoyable. He was enthralled more with the tractors, chickens, and roosters than the pumpkins of course but not shocked there :). Glen & I couldn't remember if we'd ever been to a patch while growing up...guess that means Micah may not remember either...oh well. Here's some pics of the peaceful day. Love autumn in Washington! This one was for you Popie...two generations with John Deere!Pumpkins pumpkins pumpkins! Drive on the way home...breathtaking.

Getty Concert!

We are still relishing the Getty concert we went to last weekend in Bellevue. They recently wrote a new album, Awaken the Dawn (must buy!!!). For those of you who haven't heard their music, it is so rich, worshipful, and uplifting. Check them out at www.gettymusic.com. We promise you will love it!

FBC Fall Conference

Every October, our church (Faith Bible Church) puts on a weekend Fall Conference at a place called Warm Beach, which is about a hour & 1/2 north of us. This year we were thrilled to have our pastor from back home who married us, Jim Pile, come speak!! He gave some wonderful and convicting talks on pride, humility, communication, and conflict resolution. We were also blessed to have two men from Japan stay with us for 4 days prior to and after the conference. Here's a small glimpse:

In Comes Fall

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns." ~George Eliot
We are full swing into the freshness of Fall...so long summer. Looking forward to seeing once again the colors of autumn in Washington. Beautiful sight! Also marks the official "one-year" anniversary of being in Washington and at Faith Bible Church. Our church recently updated their website (continuing project) in case any want to check it out. With that said, here's wishing for a fabulous Fall!
Below are some pics from the last weeks:

Official Homeowners!

By the Lord's grace we have moved into to our new humble abode in Renton, WA (a mile south of where we last rented). It's actually not a "new" house, it was built in the 1940's with some re-modeling over the years. So we've been busy adding some Thompson touch-ups of our own with more minor projects in the works. Thankfully projects are getting less frequent! Overall we're enjoying all there is to learn about being a homeowner. Hope these pics give you a good idea of what it looks like.

Had a great time together and yes, I put her to work a little bit too with a painting project. Couldn't have her leave w/o showing her around though :).
